  S Y N O P S I S
 

     Nicci's yearning for change and excitement after moving to the small town of Caldwell Creek, fueled by the relentless teasing of two popular classmates, provokes her to impulsively commit a small crime. The events that followed led to a horrible accident, and Nicci disappears from the face of the earth.  As Nicci struggles to survive, and the townspeople rally together in their search to find her, the powers of good and evil challenge their souls.  But the persistent determination of Nicci's guardian angel, strengthened by the power of prayer, enables Nicci to claim victory over death.

         Through the entire ordeal, Nicci and her parents find themselves turning to God through prayer, realizing their own weaknesses, and finding an inner strength they didn't know they possessed.

        The town of Caldwell Creek, where nothing exciting ever happens, will never be the same...especially after God delivers Nicci from The Well and sends her down the path along Rachel's Journey (the sequel).

Author's Upcoming Event:  Book Signing is scheduled Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Borders Book Store on Howe Road near the Chapel Hill Mall.  I will be part of the Harry Potter Weekend Celebration.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

Book Signing / Author's Tea was scheduled at the Lake Center Christian Church on February 15th.  I was invited to speak to all the classes about writing and my journey as an author.  What an incredible experience that was!  The children were full of wonder and excitement, and I was blessed and honored to be able to share with them how God worked in my life during the writings of these books, and the message of friendship and hope so deeply rooted in the storylines. 

A big thanks to Gina for arranging this.  And I thank God for the wonderful people He has carefully chosen to place in my life in order to accomplish wonderful and exciting things!  

And to Pam...my beautiful sister...my best friend...thank you for standing by me and helping me every step of the way.  I couldn't have done it without you!  You are truly a gift from God.

I'd like to extend a big "thank you" to Mrs. Cochran at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Cuyahoga Falls for inviting me to read and speak to her 5th grade class about my books on January 31.  It was an awesome experience to look into the bright, inquisitive faces of the children and share my incredible journey with them.  The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to share His message of hope and trust and friendship with the tender young hearts of the students, and it was an incredible learning and growing experience for me as well!

Another incredible experience indeed at Chapel Hill Christian School on April 25, 2006.  It was a blessing to be able to share my experiences of writing the books and the message of friendship and Gods incredible work in our lives with the children during their Spring Event.  And a big thanks to my sister, Pam, for the hours spent at the book signing table.  What a fabulous PR person you are!  Thanks for coming along on the journey!
